Graduated Law School from the Universidad Iberoamericana de México. In addition, he has a Master and Doctorate of Law by the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain with the highest qualification - outstanding Cum Laude.
In his professional practice, he has held various public positions, the most notable of which are: advisor to the general investigation coordinator of the Attorney General's Office (PGR), deputy delegate of criminal procedures of the PGR; deputy prosecutor for criminal matters of the Federal District; special prosecutor of the Specialized Kidnapping Investigation Unit; and general coordinator of the Unit specializing in kidnapping investigations of the then Deputy Attorney General's Office for Specialized Investigation in Organized Crime of the PGR.
He has taught various courses on criminal matters and criminal procedure in different national and foreign universities, as well as in public and private institutions. He is also the author and co-author of various books, book chapters and articles, all on criminal matters and criminal procedure.
